‘Barrier’ pest control barrier on NYC bridge damaged
New York City’s “barrier” fence that is supposed to stop rats and cockroaches has caused significant damage to a bridge, according to authorities.
The New York Post reported Monday that a barrier erected along the Brooklyn Bridge in June, after a man accidentally fell through the barrier, caused structural damage.
The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday that the barrier is currently in use, but that the NYPD is planning to install a second one.
The Brooklyn Bridge is a vital link to the city’s major commercial arteries, and has been the target of dozens of recent construction projects.
